Venizelos Graves: A Serene Tribute in Chania

Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from the Chania Old Town, head towards the harbor. Walk along the waterfront promenade until you reach the end of the harbor. From there, turn left onto Akti Kountourioti street and continue straight. You'll pass several cafes and shops along the way. Follow the road as it curves to the right, and continue walking until you reach the junction with Tzanakaki street. Take a left onto Tzanakaki street, and continue straight until you reach the intersection with Agorastaki street. Turn right onto Agorastaki street, and you will find Venizelos Graves a short distance ahead on your left.

• Public Transport (Bus)

  From the Chania central bus station (Ktel), take the local bus service that heads towards Akrotiri. You will need to get off at the stop labeled 'Venizelos Graves.' Once you disembark, follow the signs to Venizelos Graves. It is a short walk from the bus stop, and you'll be able to see the entrance to the graves from there. Make sure to check the bus schedule for the return journey.

• Taxi

  If you prefer a quicker and more direct route, you can take a taxi from any location in Chania. Simply tell the driver to take you to 'Venizelos Graves,' located on Agorastaki street. The taxi will drop you off right at the entrance of the site. This option is particularly convenient if you are traveling with luggage or in a group.
