Getting there

Car

If you are traveling by car, start your journey in Ioannina, the capital of Epirus. Head north on E65 (Epar.Od. Ioanninon-Sirakou) towards North Tzoumerka. The drive is approximately 50 km and will take around 1 hour. Follow the road signs to Voria Tzoumerka, which will lead you directly to your destination. Upon reaching Voria Tzoumerka, look for the signs pointing to the Valley Viewpoint. There is a parking area available near the viewpoint, but be mindful of the road conditions as they can vary.

Public Transportation

For those using public transportation, you can take a KTEL bus from Ioannina to Voria Tzoumerka. Buses run several times a day, and the journey takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes. You can check the bus schedule at the KTEL website or at the bus station in Ioannina. Once you arrive at the Voria Tzoumerka bus stop, you will need to walk approximately 2 km to reach the Valley Viewpoint. Follow the Epar.Od. Ioanninon-Sirakou road and look for the signs directing you to the viewpoint. It’s advisable to wear comfortable walking shoes for the journey.

Combination (Car + Walk)

If you have a car but prefer to park and walk, drive to Voria Tzoumerka as mentioned earlier. Once you park, the Valley Viewpoint is about a 20-minute walk from the parking area. Follow the path that leads you towards the viewpoint; it is well-marked and offers scenic views along the way. Make sure to bring water and wear appropriate footwear for this short hike.
