Public Bus
From the center of Heraklion, head to the main bus station located at 5, 25th August Street. Purchase a ticket to Knossos, which is usually labeled as 'Knossos Palace'. The bus number you need is 2 or 3, which regularly departs from this station. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Knossos stop, disembark and follow the signs to the archaeological site, which is about a 10-minute walk from the bus stop.

Walking
If you prefer to walk, start from the center of Heraklion (e.g., from the Lions Square). Head south on 25th August Street and continue straight. You will pass the 'Venetian Walls' on your left. Continue walking until you reach the junction with Knossou Street. Turn right onto Knossou Street and follow it straight until you reach the archaeological site of Knossos. This walk is approximately 5 km and takes about 1 hour.

Taxi
You can also take a taxi from anywhere in Heraklion to Cnossos. Simply hail a taxi from the street or use a local taxi service. Inform the driver that you want to go to the archaeological site of Knossos. The ride will take around 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic, and the fare should be reasonable as it is a short distance from the city center.
