Getting There

Walking
From the center of Kalamata, head towards the city park at the intersection of Aristomenous and Vas. Konstantinou Streets. Enter the park and walk through it until you reach the main road, which is Navarinou Street. Exit the park and turn left onto Navarinou Street. Continue walking straight until you reach the Kalamata Bus Station (Ktel). From the bus station, take a local bus heading to the village of Kitries. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Disembark at the Kitries stop, which is close to a small tavern. From there, continue walking uphill on the main road, following the signs for Route 82. This walk will take about 1 hour. Keep an eye out for the viewpoint signs along the way. After a short hike, you will arrive at the Nedontas Gorge Viewpoint.

If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Kalamata. Start from the city center and head towards the coastal road, cycling along the seafront promenade until you reach the Kalamata Marina. From the marina, follow the road leading to the village of Kitries. The road will gradually incline as you approach the village. After arriving in Kitries, park your bicycle near the tavern and follow the walking path leading to Route 82. The total cycling distance is approximately 13 km, and it will take around 1 hour to reach Kitries plus an additional 1 hour hike to the viewpoint.
