Getting There

Walking
From the center of Kalamata, head southeast on Aristomenous Street towards the Kalamata Railway Station. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the station. From the station, you can take a bus to Sparti. Board the bus to Sparti, which should take around 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Sparti bus station, exit and head west towards the main road. Continue along the road for approximately 1 kilometer, following the signs for the Sanctuary of Athena Chalkioikos, which is located to your right. The sanctuary is situated on a hill and should be visible as you approach.

Start at the central bus station in Kalamata located at 1 Vasileos Georgiou Street. Purchase a ticket for a bus to Sparti, which leaves regularly throughout the day.
