    From Sparta, drive towards Mount Taygetos following the E65 highway. After approximately 30 km, you will reach the village of Anavriti. From Anavriti, follow the signs to Manganiari Springs, the starting point for the most popular hiking trail to Prophet Elias Peak. Be aware that the mountain road to Manganiari Spring is narrow and winding. Parking is available at Manganiari Spring. There are no tolls on this route. Parking at Maganiari Spring is free.

    Take a KTEL bus from Athens to Sparta. The journey takes approximately 3.5 hours and costs around €20. From Sparta, take a local bus to Anavriti. Buses run several times a day, and the journey takes about 45 minutes. From Anavriti, you will need to take a taxi to Manganiari Springs, the starting point for the hike to Prophet Elias Peak. A taxi from Anavriti to Manganiari Springs will cost approximately €15-€20. The bus from Athens to Sparta is approximately €20.
