Bus
To reach Merchia Beach using public transportation, start by heading to Mykonos Town (Chora). From the main bus station located near the Fabrika area, catch a bus heading towards the eastern beaches. Look for the bus marked ‘Elia Beach’ or ‘Kalo Livadi.’ The ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the stop for Kalo Livadi, which is the closest major stop to Merchia Beach.
Walking
Once you arrive at Kalo Livadi, exit the bus and head towards the beach. From Kalo Livadi beach, you will need to walk along the coastal path heading northeast. Follow the pathway that runs along the beach, which will take you up a slight hill. Continue walking for about 20-25 minutes. You will see signs directing you to Merchia Beach, and soon you will arrive at this beautiful, less crowded beach.
Taxi/Private Transfer
If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from Mykonos Town directly to Merchia Beach. Simply tell the driver the destination and they will take you there. The journey typically takes around 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic. This option is convenient if you are traveling with a group or have beach gear to carry.
