Getting There

Walking
If you're in the center of Rethymno, start by making your way to the main street, Arkadiou Street. Walk towards the Old Town area until you reach the intersection with Zampeliou Street. Turn right on Zampeliou Street and head towards the harbor. Continue walking along the harbor until you reach the bus station located at the end of the waterfront. From there, catch a bus heading towards 'Petrokefali' or 'Margarites'. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Petrokefali, ask the driver to let you know when you're close to the Agia Marina Donkey Sanctuary. It is a short walk from the bus stop; just follow the Epar.Od. Gortinas - Matalon road until you see the sanctuary on your right.
