Bus
From Rethymno city center, walk to the central bus station, located at 1st October street. Take the bus towards Chania (Χανιά) and get off at Sfakia. The journey will take approximately 1 hour. Once in Sfakia, look for signs for Agios Pavlos Beach (Μονοπ. Αγία Ρουμέλη - Σαμαριά). It's about a 20-minute walk from the bus station. Head towards the coast, following the signs, and enjoy the scenic route along the cliffs.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from Rethymno to Agios Pavlos beach. You can find taxis near the central bus station or call one from your accommodation. The ride will take about 40 minutes, and the driver will take you directly to the beach entrance.
Hiking
For adventurous travelers, you can hike from Sfakia to Agios Pavlos beach. After arriving in Sfakia by bus, follow the coastal path that leads to the beach. The hike is approximately 3 kilometers and will take about 1 hour. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and carry plenty of water, as the path can be steep and rocky in some sections.
