    If you are starting from the Rethymno Old Town, head towards the main square (Plateia 25 Martiou). From the square, take the exit towards the direction of the sea. Continue straight until you reach the waterfront promenade (Akti Koundourou). Turn left and walk along the promenade until you reach the end. At the end of the promenade, continue walking straight until you reach the traffic lights at the intersection with Ethnikis Antistaseos. Cross the street carefully and continue straight on Ag. Frangiskou Street. The Archaeological Museum will be on your left side after a short walk.

    From the Rethymno bus station (Ktel Rethymnou), exit the station and head towards the main road (Ethnikis Antistaseos). Take bus number 2 or 3 towards the city center. Get off at the stop 'Akti Koundourou'. From there, walk towards the waterfront promenade and turn left. Continue walking until the promenade ends, then cross the street at the traffic lights to Ag. Frangiskou Street. The Archaeological Museum will be on your left.
