    If you are in the center of Rethymno, start at the Venetian Harbor. Head east along the coast for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the main road, E75. Turn left onto E75 and continue walking for another 1 kilometer. You will pass by various shops and cafes. Look for signs indicating Megala Chorafia. Once you reach the village, follow the signs to the Archaeological Site of Aptera which should be on your left.

    From Rethymno city center, make your way to the central bus station located on the main street, E75. Look for the bus heading towards Chania. The bus ride takes approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the Megala Chorafia stop. From there, follow the signs to the Archaeological Site of Aptera, which is about a 15-minute walk uphill from the bus stop.
