From Rethymno, head to the main bus station (Ktel Rethymnou) located at 1-3, 25 Martiou St. You can walk there if you are in the city center, or take a local taxi if you are further away. At the bus station, purchase a ticket to Sfakia. The journey to Sfakia takes about 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on traffic. Once you arrive in Sfakia, you can follow the signs to Marmara Beach, which is about a 20-minute walk from the bus station. Head towards the coast, and you will see the beach ahead.

Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from Rethymno to Sfakia. You can easily find a taxi in the city center or ask your hotel to call one for you. The drive to Sfakia will take approximately 1 hour, depending on traffic. Once you arrive in Sfakia, the taxi can drop you off close to the beach access point. Follow the signs to Marmara Beach, which is a short walk from where the taxi leaves you.

Walking
If you are in the vicinity of Sfakia and prefer walking, you can reach Marmara Beach by following the coastal path. Starting from the village of Sfakia, head towards the east along the coastal trail. The walk is scenic and takes about 30 minutes. Please make sure to wear comfortable shoes and carry water, as the path can be rocky and hot, especially in summer.
