From the center of Rethymno, head west towards the Old Port. Walk along the waterfront promenade until you reach the end of the harbor. Continue straight, following the signs towards Chania. You will pass the main road and signs indicating the direction to Chania. After about a 20-minute walk, look for the bus stop at the main road. You will take the KTEL bus towards Chania.

At the KTEL bus station in Rethymno, purchase a ticket for Chania. Buses to Chania run frequently throughout the day, and the journey takes approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive in Chania, exit the bus station and walk towards the main square. You can ask locals for directions to the bus stop for the local bus that goes towards the Monastery Katholiko.

From Chania, take the local KTEL bus that heads towards the Akrotiri Peninsula. You will disembark at the stop closest to the Monastery Katholiko. The monastery is about a 15-minute walk from the bus stop. Follow the signs that indicate the walking path to the monastery, which is located in a gorge. The path may be rugged, so wear comfortable shoes.
