Walking
Start at the center of Rethymno, near the Venetian Harbor. Head south along the waterfront promenade, enjoying the sea view. Continue walking until you reach the end of the promenade where it meets Leof. Emmanouil Kefalogianni. Turn left onto Leof. Emmanouil Kefalogianni and walk along the road. Keep an eye out for signs leading to the Fortezza Castle. As you approach the castle, look for a pathway leading up towards the entrance. Follow this path which will take you to the top of the hill where the castle is located. Once you reach the castle, head towards the western side where you will find the Sunset view area, perfect for watching the sunset.
