Walking
If you're starting from the center of Rethymno, head towards the Old Town area. Walk along the main street, Arkadiou, and enjoy the local shops and cafes. Continue straight until you reach the junction with the waterfront promenade. Turn left and walk along the coast for about 15 minutes until you reach Perivolia area. From there, follow signs for 'Therisos Gorge' which is located at Vasiliou Poulaka. The gorge is a hiking area, so be prepared for a bit of walking and enjoy the scenic views along the way.
Public Transport
To reach Therisos Gorge using public transport, make your way to the central bus station in Rethymno. Take the local bus heading towards Chania and ask the driver to drop you off at Perivolia. The bus ride should take about 20-30 minutes. Once you arrive in Perivolia, follow the signs for Vasiliou Poulaka, which will lead you to the entrance of Therisos Gorge. Be sure to check the bus schedule ahead of time for your return trip.
