Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are in the Old Town of Rethymno, head towards the seafront. From the Rimondi Fountain, walk down the narrow streets lined with shops and cafes until you reach the waterfront promenade. Once you reach the promenade, turn right and continue walking along the water until you see the Venetian Harbour. It's approximately a 10-15 minute walk.

    If you are near the Archaeological Museum of Rethymno, exit the museum and head southeast on 25 Martiou Street. Continue straight until you reach the waterfront. At the waterfront, turn left and stroll along the promenade until you arrive at the Venetian Harbour, which will be on your right.

    If you are further away from the city center, you can take a local bus to the Rethymno central bus station. From the bus station, exit and walk towards the Old Town. Follow the directions for walking from the Old Town to the Venetian Harbour as described above.

    From the Rethymno Fortress (Fortezza), exit the fortress and head towards the coast. Follow the path leading down towards the water. Once you reach the beach, turn left and walk along the waterfront promenade. The Venetian Harbour will be straight ahead after a short walk.
