Walking
From Rethymno's Old Town, head towards the coast. Look for Agiou Markou street and walk straight until you reach the promenade. Turn left and continue along the seaside until you see the Venetian Harbour on your right. The harbour is easily recognizable by its architecture and the iconic lighthouse. This is a free and pleasant walk.
Public Transport
If arriving by bus to Rethymno, the bus station is located within 1 km of the Venetian Harbour. From the station, it's a 15-minute walk to the harbor. Alternatively, you can take a local bus from the station to a stop closer to the harbor. A single bus fare within Rethymno is approximately €1.20.
Taxi
Taxis are readily available throughout Rethymno. A taxi ride from the Rethymno bus station to the Venetian Harbour will cost approximately €5-€7. Ensure the driver uses a meter or agree on a fare beforehand.
Parking
If driving, there are several parking options near the Venetian Harbour. There are both free and paid parking lots in and near the old town of Rethymno. Free parking can be found around the outside of the fort by the sea on Leof. Emmanouil Kefalogianni. Paid parking areas are also available. Parking rates vary, but expect to pay around €5-€8 per day. Be aware that parking can be limited, especially during peak season.
