History of Faliraki

From Coastal Settlement to Resort

Faliraki developed from a small coastal settlement connected to the agricultural and fishing life of eastern Rhodes. Its name is commonly linked with the area’s local place-name tradition, although the resort’s modern identity is considerably newer than the surrounding island’s ancient history.
