Bus
From Samos Town (Vathy), take a local bus heading towards Marathokampos. The bus departs from the main bus station in Vathy. Make sure to check the schedule as buses may not run frequently, especially during off-peak seasons. The ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Marathokampos bus station, you will need to walk approximately 1.5 kilometers to reach Pythagoras Cave.
Walking
After arriving at the Marathokampos bus station, head southwest towards the main road (Epar.Od. Marathokampos). Follow the road for about 500 meters until you reach a sign for Pythagoras Cave. Turn left onto a smaller path and continue straight for about 1 kilometer. The cave entrance will be on your right. The path may be slightly uphill, so wear comfortable shoes and bring water.
Taxi
If you prefer a quicker option, you can take a taxi from Samos Town directly to Pythagoras Cave. Taxis are available in Samos Town, and the ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Be sure to confirm the fare beforehand. Ask the driver to drop you off at the entrance of Pythagoras Cave.
Bicycle
For the more adventurous, consider renting a bicycle in Samos Town. Follow the coastal road towards Marathokampos, which is approximately 16 kilometers away. Once in Marathokampos, follow the same walking directions as mentioned previously. This route offers beautiful views of the coastline, but be prepared for some uphill sections as you get closer to the cave.
