Public Transport
To reach the trailhead using public transport, take the bus from Skiathos Town to Kalyvia. From Kalyvia, you may need to use a taxi or local shuttle service to reach the starting point for the hike to Mitikas Peak. Bus tickets cost between €2.00 and €3.00. A taxi from Kalyvia to the trailhead will cost approximately €10-€15.
Car
If you are traveling by car, start from Skiathos Town and drive towards the main road (Epar.Od. Skiathou - Kalyvia) heading northwest. After approximately 5 km, you will see signs for Mitikas Peak. Follow these signs, which will lead you along winding roads. Parking is available at designated areas or along the roadside. Parking is free.
Hiking
From the parking area or the drop-off point from the taxi, start your hike towards Mitikas Peak. The trail is marked, but it is advisable to carry a map or use a GPS app for navigation. The hike to the summit takes about 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on your pace.
