Getting there

Driving

From Skopelos Town, drive east on the main road (Epar. Od. Skopelou) for about 25 minutes towards Agnontas. Just before reaching Agnontas, look for a dirt road on the left. The cove is about 1.5km down this road. The dirt road is accessible to most vehicles with care. Parking is available near the cove. Be aware that the road can be narrow and winding.

Public Transport

From Skopelos Town, take the local bus towards Agnontas. Ask the driver to announce the stop for Amarandos Cove. From the bus stop, walk along the dirt road for about 20-30 minutes (partly uphill) to reach the cove. Bus fare from Skopelos Town to Agnontas is approximately €3. Be sure to check the bus schedule in advance, as services may be limited.

Taxi

Taxis are available in Skopelos Town. A taxi to Amarandos Cove will cost approximately €20-€25. The taxi can drop you off near the start of the dirt road leading to the cove. From there, it is a short walk to the beach. Confirm the fare with the driver before starting the journey.

Amarandos Cove, a captivating spot on Skopelos Island, is renowned for its stunning natural beauty and its appearance in the film *Mamma Mia!* Located on the island's southern side, near the village of Agnontas, this picturesque cove features rocky coastlines, crystal-clear turquoise waters, and lush vegetation. The iconic trio of pine trees perched atop a striking white rock formation has become a symbol of Skopelos, drawing visitors from around the world.Visitors can enjoy swimming and snorkeling in the calm, clear waters, often referred to locally as "the pool". The rocky terrain makes water shoes advisable for easy entry and exit. The cove is also a great location for fishing and exploring the vibrant underwater world. While there are no organized amenities like beach beds or tavernas directly at the cove, its unspoiled nature adds to its charm.To reach Amarandos Cove, take the road from Stafylos and Velanios beaches; just before Agnontas, a dirt road on your left leads to the cove. Parking is available about 100 meters from the beach. Alternatively, a scenic 40-minute hike from the sea offers breathtaking views.
