Car

To reach Oxya Viewpoint by car, start in the town of Vradeto. From the center of Vradeto, follow the signs towards the viewpoint. The road is narrow and winding, so drive cautiously. The viewpoint is approximately 2 km from the center of Vradeto. Park in the designated parking area near the viewpoint. There are no parking fees.

Public Transport & Walking

To reach Oxya Viewpoint using public transport, take a bus from Ioannina to Vradeto. The bus service operates regularly, and the journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Vradeto, walk to the Oxya Viewpoint, approximately 2 km. The path is well-marked. Wear comfortable shoes as the trail can be rocky. Bus ticket may cost around €2.

Oxya Viewpoint is a celebrated scenic spot near the village of Vradeto in the Zagori region of Greece, renowned for its breathtaking panoramic views of the Vikos Gorge. The viewpoint is easily accessible, making it suitable for families and travelers of all ages.Visitors are greeted with sweeping vistas of the surrounding mountains and valleys, providing an ideal backdrop for memorable photographs. The viewpoint's elevation allows guests to appreciate the untouched beauty of the landscape, which varies dramatically throughout the seasons. The Vikos Gorge itself stretches for 12 km, with depths exceeding 900 meters and widths reaching 1,100 meters. Its unique dimensions have earned it a Guinness World Record as the deepest canyon in the world relative to its width.Oxya Viewpoint also serves as a fantastic starting point for hiking adventures on nearby trails. A short walk from the parking area leads to the main viewing platform. The area around Oxya is known as Petrino Dasos (Stone Forest), characterized by unique rock formations that resemble stacked stone slabs.
