Walking

From the Volos city center, Anavros Park is easily accessible on foot. Head east along the main coastal road, Argonauts Avenue, past the Church of Agios Konstantinos. Continue for approximately 10-15 minutes; the park will be on your left, stretching towards Anavros Beach. No costs involved.
Public Transport

Several local buses (αστικό ΚΤΕΛ) serve the area around Anavros Park. Look for buses heading towards Anavros or Nea Ionia. A single ticket within Volos city (Zone A) costs approximately €1.00 if purchased on the bus or €0.60 from a kiosk. Get off at a stop along Argonauts Avenue near the Agios Konstantinos Church and walk east.
Taxi

Taxis are readily available throughout Volos. A short taxi ride from the city center to Anavros Park will typically cost around €8.00 during the day. Note that fares may be higher between 00:00 and 05:00. Taxi Volos: +30 2421 350100.
Parking

Parking near Anavros Park is available on the surrounding streets. During the week, paid parking is enforced Monday - Friday 09:00 AM - 09:00 PM and Saturday 09:00 AM - 04:00 PM; Sundays and Public Holidays: Free. Parking rates are approximately €1.00 per hour. During peak times, parking spots may be scarce, so arriving early is advisable.

Anavros Park, stretching along the coastal front of Volos, is a vibrant hub of art, culture, and recreation. Since 1980, the Municipality of Volos has gradually shaped and embellished this area into a 500-meter-long stretch of pedestrian streets, squares, and parks. The park extends from the Holy Church of St. Constantine to the breakwater before Anavros Beach. Visitors can explore an open-air sculpture gallery featuring works from the 1988 International Sculpture Symposium. Notable sculptures include "The Family" by Filolaos Tloupa, "The Gate" by Nikos Kourousis, and "The Sandal of Jason" by Ioannis Kontopanagiotis. The park also features a laboratory of experimental archaeology with brick houses modeled after Neolithic settlements. Anavros Park provides various recreational facilities, including a skateboard track, playgrounds, and an outdoor theater. Cafeterias and restaurants offer refreshments with a sea view. While the park doesn't have direct beach access, Anavros Beach is a short walk away. The park is ideal for casual visits, family outings, and enjoying the peaceful ambiance.
