Once you arrive in Portaria, you can either walk (approximately 3 km) or take a local taxi to Epar. Od. Portarias-Makrinitsas, where the path begins. Walking will take around 40 minutes. A taxi from Portaria to the path will cost approximately €5-€10.

If you are traveling by car, start from Volos city center. Head towards Epar. Od. Portarias-Makrinitsas, which is approximately a 20-minute drive. Follow signs for Mount Pelion. Once you reach Epar. Od. Portarias-Makrinitsas, continue for about 16 km until you see signs for Centaurs' path. There is a parking area nearby, and no parking fees are required.

Taxis are readily available in Volos. A taxi ride from Volos to the Centaurs' Path will take approximately 14 minutes and cost between €29-€35. Volos taxis calculate fares with a base fare of €3.50, an additional price of €1.50/km, and a waiting time charge of €15.00 per hour. Keep in mind that between 00:00 and 05:00 a double tariff applies.
