From Argostoli, the capital of Kefalonia, take the KTEL bus towards Svoronata. The bus journey takes approximately 30 minutes, with services running three times a day. From Svoronata, Avithos Beach is a short taxi ride or a pleasant walk following local signs. Bus fare is approximately €1-€3. A taxi from Svoronata to the beach will cost around €5-€7.
Taxi
From Kefalonia Airport, a taxi ride to Avithos Beach is the most convenient option. The journey is approximately 4.34 km and takes about 10 minutes. Expect to pay around €15-€20 for the taxi fare. Alternatively, pre-booked private transfers are available.
Car
If driving from Argostoli, follow the signs towards Livathou and then to Avithos Beach. The drive is approximately 12 km. Parking is available near the beach, but it can get crowded. Parking is free. Be mindful of the narrow, winding road leading to the beach.
