The Sendall Tunnel, a 340-foot passageway in St. George's, Grenada, was built in 1894 for horse-drawn carriages. Today, it serves as a unique route for both vehicles and pedestrians, connecting the harbor to the city center and offering a glimpse into the island's colonial past.

Walking
From the St. George's Market Square, head east along Granby Street, then turn left onto Monckton Street. Continue straight, and you'll see the entrance to the Sendall Tunnel ahead. The walk is approximately 5 minutes. Be mindful of traffic as you approach the tunnel entrance.
Public Transport
From Grand Anse Beach, take the #1 bus towards St. George's. The bus fare is approximately EC$2.50. Alight at the Melville Street Bus Terminal in St. George's. From the terminal, walk east on Melville Street, then turn left onto Sendall Tunnel Road. Follow the road to the tunnel entrance, about a 10-minute walk.
Taxi
From Maurice Bishop International Airport, a taxi to the Sendall Tunnel in St. George's costs approximately EC$50 (USD $20). The journey takes around 25 minutes. Alternatively, from Grand Anse Beach, a taxi ride to the tunnel costs around EC$15-25. Ensure the driver knows your destination and agree on the fare before starting the journey.
