The River Sallee Boiling Springs, situated in the northeastern part of Grenada, near River Sallee, presents a fascinating geological attraction. These springs are located approximately 1.5 miles north of the Lake Antoine volcano and south of Levera National Park in St. Patrick's Parish. This natural wonder features six distinct waterholes, each exhibiting a temperature of around 95 degrees Fahrenheit (35 degrees Celsius). Concentrated within a 594 square meter area of soft, porous volcanic sediments, the springs offer more than just a visual spectacle. The largest pool has muddy brown water, measuring about 15 feet in circumference and 6 feet in depth. Visitors can indulge in a traditional sulphur bath experience, complete with mud body massages and loofah treatments, followed by relaxation in warm sulphur pools and cleansing with water from a sulphur spring well. Many visitors come to dip in the pools or have local guides rub the soothing earthy mixture on their skin, believed to improve its look and feel. Some of the holes have been enlarged to allow visitors to immerse themselves and test the rumored healing properties of the sulphur springs.
