Public Transport
To reach Guam International Raceway via public transport, take the Guam Regional Transit Authority (GRTA) bus from the main terminal in Hagåtña towards Yigo. The bus runs approximately every hour. Since its establishment in 2002, shortly after construction began in 2000, the raceway has evolved into a versatile venue hosting a wide array of racing events. What started with the Jose and Hermenia Calvo memorial Off-Road track and a quarter-mile drag strip has grown to include an obstacle course for 4x4s, a mud drag course, and an off-road section inspired by the Baja 1000.
The raceway isn't just for cars; it also features a motocross course open seven days a week for off-road motorcycles, ATVs, and UTVs. The addition of a paved quarter-mile oval allows for drag racing, drifting, autocross, and even car shows. The raceway has running water for restrooms and washing off machines, plus electricity for nighttime events.
Signature events include the Smokin' Wheels Racing Weekend, an internationally recognized event that draws participants and spectators from around the globe. This three-day event showcases off-road endurance racing, motocross, ATV racing, drifting, and drag racing. Beyond racing, the raceway fosters a sense of community, offering a family-friendly environment where all ages can enjoy the thrill of motorsports.
