Local know-how to help you travel smarter and make the most of every moment.
Walking
If you are in the central area of Antigua Guatemala, start at the Parque Central (Central Park). From the park, head south towards the Catedral de Santiago (Cathedral) which is located right next to the park. After visiting the cathedral, continue walking south until you reach the intersection with 6a Avenida Norte. Turn left (east) onto 6a Avenida Norte and continue until you reach the intersection with 1a Calle Poniente. Turn right (south) and walk straight until you reach G7V2+XQ9, where you will find your destination.
Taxi (Tuk-Tuk)
From any location in Antigua, you can easily find a tuk-tuk. Simply wave one down or ask your hotel to call one for you. Tell the driver to take you to 'G7V2+XQ9, Antigua Guatemala.' The driver should know the area well. The fare is usually around 10-20 Quetzales, depending on your starting point.
Public Transport (Chicken Bus)
If you are further away from the center, you can take a chicken bus (local bus). Locate the bus terminal near the market area, usually on Calle del Cementerio. Look for buses heading towards Central Antigua. Make sure to inform the driver to drop you off at Parque Central. From there, follow the walking instructions to your destination.
Bicycle Rental
For a more adventurous option, rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops around Parque Central. Once you have your bike, ride towards 6a Avenida Norte. Then, turn right onto 1a Calle Poniente. Continue to G7V2+XQ9, where your destination is located. Ensure you wear a helmet and follow local traffic rules.
