If you are driving from the Caribbean Coast, head to the nearest major town, such as Puerto Barrios or Morales. From there, take the CA-9 highway heading south. Continue on CA-9 until you reach the junction for the CA-14 highway. Turn onto CA-14 and follow the signs towards Frontera Corozal. After approximately 3 hours of driving, you will arrive in Frontera Corozal. Here, you can park your car and take a local taxi to Bonampak, which is about a 30-minute ride away. Be sure to negotiate the fare before getting in the taxi, as prices can vary.

To reach Bonampak using public transportation, start by taking a bus from Puerto Barrios or Morales to Frontera Corozal. Buses leave regularly and the journey will take about 3 to 4 hours.
