If you are traveling by car, start your journey in the town of Puerto Barrios. Head south on CA-9, which is the main highway. Continue on CA-9 for approximately 30 km until you reach the town of Morales. From Morales, take the exit toward CA-9 towards Tactic. Stay on CA-9 for about 80 km. You will be passing through several towns, so keep an eye on the signs. Once you reach the town of Rio Dulce, follow the signs to the dock area. Park your car at one of the secure parking options near the docks.

To reach Coco Plum Island Resort via public transportation, take a bus from Puerto Barrios to Rio Dulce. Buses leave regularly from the main bus terminal. From there, you will need to hire a boat taxi to take you to Coco Plum Island Resort. The boat fare is usually around 100 Quetzales (about $13 USD) per person, and the trip takes about 30 minutes.
