Boat
If you are staying in one of the lakeside towns, such as San Pedro or San Marcos, take a public boat (lancha) to Panajachel. Boats typically leave every 30 minutes and the ride takes about 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at the Panajachel dock, walk towards the main street (Calle Santander).
Walking
From the dock, head west along Calle Santander. This street is lined with shops and restaurants, making it a pleasant walk. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with Calle 2 de Febrero. Turn left onto Calle 2 de Febrero and walk straight until you see the Bird Art Museum on your right. The museum is located near the edge of the town, and the walk will take approximately 15-20 minutes.
Use Bird Art Museum as your starting point for nearby food, family ideas, nightlife, and more local discoveries.
