If you are staying in one of the lakeside towns, such as San Pedro or San Marcos, take a public boat (lancha) to Panajachel. Boats typically leave every 30 minutes and the ride takes about 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at the Panajachel dock, walk towards the main street (Calle Santander).
