Car
If you are driving from Flores, take Route CA-9 southbound towards El Remate. The journey is approximately 1 hour (about 58 km). Once you reach El Remate, look for signs directing you to Lake Peten Itza. The entrance to La Lancha is located along the lakeshore. Parking is available on-site, and be aware that there might be a small fee for parking.
Public Transportation
From Flores, you can take a chicken bus (local bus) to El Remate. Buses leave regularly from the Flores bus station and the ride takes about 1 hour. The fare is usually around Q15 (about $2). Once you arrive in El Remate, you can either walk to La Lancha (about a 15-20 minute walk) or take a tuk-tuk (which costs around Q20-30 or about $3-4) directly to the entrance.
