Getting There

• Bus

  From the central park (Parque Central) in Quetzaltenango, walk to the nearby bus terminal (Terminal Minerva) located about 10 minutes away on Avenida 14 de Septiembre. Look for buses labeled 'Zunil' or 'Fuentes Georginas.' The fare should be around 10-15 quetzales. The ride will take approximately 30-45 minutes, depending on traffic. Once you arrive in Zunil, ask the driver to drop you off at the entrance to Fuentes Georginas. From there, it's about a 15-minute walk uphill to the hot springs.

• Tuk-Tuk

  After reaching Parque Central in Quetzaltenango, you can hire a tuk-tuk (also known as a moto-taxi) to take you directly to Fuentes Georginas. Negotiate the fare before starting your ride; it should cost around 50-100 quetzales. The journey takes about 30-40 minutes, and the driver will take you to the entrance of Fuentes Georginas.

• Walking

  For those who enjoy walking and are up for a challenge, you can hike to Fuentes Georginas from Quetzaltenango. Start at Parque Central and head towards Avenida 14 de Septiembre, then continue to Avenida 6ta. From there, follow the road signs leading to Zunil. The hike is approximately 12 kilometers and will take around 3-4 hours. Be prepared for a steep climb, and ensure you have enough water and snacks for the journey.
