Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the main square (Parque Central) in Huehuetenango. Head southeast on Avenida Centroamerica and continue straight for about 1.5 kilometers. Turn left onto the CA-1 highway towards San Marcos. Drive approximately 20 kilometers until you reach the sign for Hoyo El Cimarrón. Turn left onto the unpaved road and follow the signs for about 5 kilometers until you reach the parking area. Please note that the road may be bumpy, so a vehicle with good clearance is recommended.

To reach Hoyo El Cimarrón by public transportation, head to the main bus terminal (Terminal de Buses) in Huehuetenango. Look for a bus heading towards San Marcos or a shared taxi (colectivo) that stops at the entrance of Hoyo El Cimarrón. The fare is typically around Q10-15 (about $1.30-2.00). Once you arrive at the entrance, you may need to walk approximately 5 kilometers along the unpaved road to reach the site. Make sure to confirm with the driver if they can drop you off close to the entrance.
