From any location in Alderney, head to the main harbor area where you can take a ferry to Cherbourg, France. The ferry ride takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Cherbourg, follow the signs to La Cité de la Mer located at All. du Président Menut, 50100 Cherbourg-en-Cotentin. This is about a 10-minute drive from the ferry terminal.

If you prefer using public transportation, take the ferry from Alderney to Cherbourg. After disembarking, you can catch a local bus (bus line 1) that heads towards La Cité de la Mer. The bus stop is just outside the ferry terminal. The bus ride takes around 15 minutes, and the stop for La Cité de la Mer is a short walk from the entrance.
