Continue straight until you reach a small park called Candie Gardens. From the park, walk up the hill towards Hauteville. Continue straight until you see the sign for Hauteville - Victor Hugo House at 38 Hauteville, which will be on your left.

If starting from the Town Church in St. Peter Port, exit the church and walk down the hill towards the main road. Turn right onto the High Street and walk straight until you reach the junction with College Street. Turn right onto College Street and proceed as above. After reaching Candie Gardens, follow the same directions up the hill to Hauteville.
