Getting There

• Walking

  If you are in central Matam, start by heading east towards Boulevard de la République. Walk straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Avenue Moussa Tavele. Continue walking for about 500 meters until you reach the intersection with Rue du 3 Août. Turn left onto Rue du 3 Août and walk for another 800 meters. You will eventually see signs for Plage TAYAKI. Follow the signs to the beach.

• Motorbike Taxi (Zemidjan)

  For a quicker route, consider taking a Zemidjan (motorbike taxi). You can find them readily available in central Matam. Negotiate the fare (usually around 5,000 to 10,000 GNF) and tell the driver to take you to Plage TAYAKI. The ride will take approximately 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic. Make sure to specify 'Plage TAYAKI' clearly, as some drivers may not be familiar with the exact location.

• Public Transport (Shared Taxi)

  Another option is to take a shared taxi. Head to the nearest taxi stand in Matam, where you can find vehicles heading towards the coastal areas. When you board, inform the driver that you are going to Plage TAYAKI. The fare typically ranges from 1,500 to 3,000 GNF per person. The journey may take approximately 20-30 minutes depending on the number of stops. Be sure to listen for announcements of stops, as you may need to get off and walk a short distance to reach the beach.
