Getting There

• Walking

  From the center of Skeldon, head south on Main Street towards the Skeldon Market. Continue straight until you reach the junction with the Skeldon Public Road. Turn right onto the Skeldon Public Road and walk for about 10 minutes until you reach the intersection with the road leading to the village of Agricola. You will notice some local shops and friendly locals along the way. Turn left onto the Agricola road and continue walking for approximately 15 minutes. You will pass by several residential areas and small farms. Keep an eye out for the signs directing you to Handsome tree Canal. After about 15 minutes, you should arrive at the canal area.

• Bicycle

  If you are able to rent a bicycle in Skeldon, start at the Skeldon Market and head south on Main Street towards the Skeldon Public Road. Turn right onto the Skeldon Public Road and cycle for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the turnoff for Agricola. Turn left onto the Agricola road and continue cycling for approximately 3 kilometers. This route will take you through some scenic areas, and you may encounter local cyclists. Look for signs directing you to Handsome tree Canal, which should be on your left as you approach the canal area.

• Public Transport (Bus or Minibus)

  To reach Handsome tree Canal via public transport, head to the Skeldon bus terminal and look for a minibus heading towards Agricola. Once you get on, inform the driver of your destination, and they will drop you off at the nearest stop to the canal. The ride should take about 30 minutes. After disembarking, walk towards the canal area, following any local signs or asking residents for directions. The canal will be a short walk away from the bus drop-off point.
