Walking
From the central area of Jacmel, head towards the beach on Rue des Casernes. Walk along the beach promenade until you reach the intersection with Rue de l'Intendance. Continue straight until you reach Rue des Colons. Turn left onto Rue des Colons and follow the path as it leads you towards the outskirts of the town. After about 20 minutes of walking, you will come across a sign indicating the direction to Bassin Bleu. Follow the path through the lush vegetation; it may take around 30 minutes to hike up to the Bassin Bleu.
Hiking
For a more adventurous approach, take the trail that starts near the Jacmel Artisan Village, located near the main market. From the village, follow the well-trodden path leading into the hills. This hike is more challenging, and it may take approximately 1 hour to reach Bassin Bleu. Ensure you wear sturdy shoes and bring water, as the hike can be steep and hot.

If you're unsure about navigating on your own, consider hiring a local guide. You can find guides in the main square or near popular tourist spots. They can provide you with insights about the area and lead you directly to Bassin Bleu. The cost is typically reasonable, and they can also assist with transportation to the trailhead if needed.
