Walking
From the central area of Port-au-Prince, head towards Avenue Jean Paul II. Follow this avenue until you reach the intersection with Route Nationale #1. Turn left onto Route Nationale #1 and continue walking towards the outskirts of the city. After about 30 minutes, you will reach a junction where you can see a sign for Fort Jacques. Follow the signs to Fort Jacques, which will guide you uphill. This part of the journey will take about 20 minutes on foot. Once you reach Fort Jacques, you will see the entrance to the site.

Public Transportation (Tap Tap)
From the center of Port-au-Prince, find a Tap Tap (shared taxi) heading towards Kenscoff. You can catch these Tap Taps on the main roads, usually near major markets or public transport hubs. Tell the driver you are going to Fort Jacques. The ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the drop-off point near Fort Jacques, you will need to walk about 15 minutes uphill to reach the fort entrance. Follow the signs as you walk.

Bicycle Rental
If you are feeling adventurous, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Port-au-Prince. Start your journey by cycling towards Avenue Jean Paul II. Continue on this road until you reach Route Nationale #1, where you will turn left. Keep cycling on Route Nationale #1 for about 30 minutes until you see signs for Fort Jacques. The last part of the journey will be uphill, so be prepared for a bit of a workout. The total cycling time should take about 1 hour.
