Walking
From the central area of Pétion-Ville, head towards Boulevard Jean-Baptiste Duperval. Walk along the boulevard until you reach the intersection with Rue Dufort. Turn left onto Rue Dufort and continue walking until you see the bus station at the corner of Rue Dufort and Rue de la Réserve. This is where you can catch a local tap-tap.

At the tap-tap station, look for a tap-tap heading to Fort Jacques. The fare is usually around 25 HTG (Haitian Gourde). Once you board, inform the driver that you are going to Fort Jacques. The ride will take approximately 20-30 minutes depending on traffic. Make sure to keep an eye out for your stop, which is the entrance to Fort Jacques.

After getting off the tap-tap, you will likely see signs directing you to the fort. Walk along the dirt path leading to the fort entrance. It’s about a 10-15 minute walk uphill, so wear comfortable shoes. Be mindful of your surroundings as you walk.
