The most common departure point is Coyolito, a fishing village located approximately 2 hours by bus from Tegucigalpa. Buses to Coyolito leave from El Desvio, north of San Lorenzo. From Coyolito, several boats make frequent trips to Amapala on Isla del Tigre. The boat trip takes approximately 15-20 minutes.
