Car
If you're traveling by car, start from the main entrance of Cusuco National Park, located near the town of Santa Rosa de Copán. From the entrance, follow the road towards the park's visitor center. Continue along the main park road for about 10 kilometers until you reach the junction that leads to Finca El Supte. Turn left at the junction and follow the unpaved road for approximately 5 kilometers. Be prepared for some rough terrain and a few steep inclines. Look for signs pointing to Finca El Supte along the way. Upon arrival, there is usually a small parking area near the finca.
Public Transportation
To reach Finca El Supte via public transportation, take a bus from Santa Rosa de Copán to the nearest town, La Campa. Buses run frequently throughout the day, and the fare is typically around 30 Lempira. Upon arriving in La Campa, you will need to hire a local taxi or a motorcycle taxi to take you to Finca El Supte. The taxi ride will cost approximately 150-200 Lempira. Make sure to arrange your return trip with the taxi driver if you're not planning to stay overnight.
Hiking
For the adventurous, hiking to Finca El Supte is also an option. Starting from the park entrance, you can follow the designated hiking trails. It will take approximately 2-3 hours of hiking to reach the finca, depending on your pace. Ensure you have proper hiking gear, plenty of water, and snacks. The trails can be steep and challenging, so it's advisable to hike with a group or a local guide.
