From the center of Gracias, head east on Avenida Eleuterio Galeano Trejo. Continue walking straight for about 15 minutes. You will pass various shops and local restaurants on your way. As you walk, keep an eye out for the signs pointing towards Fuerte San Cristóbal. The fortress is located on a hill, so you will begin to see it as you approach. Once you reach the base of the hill, look for the path leading up to the fortress entrance.

The route will take approximately 10 minutes, depending on your speed. As you get closer to the fortress, you will notice the hill rising in front of you. For a quicker option, you can take a mototaxi from anywhere in Gracias. Simply flag one down and tell the driver you want to go to Fuerte San Cristóbal. The ride will take around 5-10 minutes. The drivers are familiar with the area and will take you directly to the entrance of the fortress. Be sure to agree on the fare before starting your journey.
