Taxi/Ride-Share
From La Ceiba (city center or Golosón International Airport), a taxi or ride-share is the most direct way to reach Hotel Rio. The journey takes approximately 20-30 minutes, depending on traffic. Agree on a fare before starting your trip. A taxi from the city center should cost around 400-700 HNL (approximately $16-28 USD). From the airport, expect to pay slightly more, around 700-900 HNL (approximately $28-36 USD). Be aware that taxis may charge extra after 6 PM.
Public Transport
From La Ceiba, take a local bus heading towards Las Mangas or El Pital. These buses frequently depart from the main bus terminal. Ask the driver to drop you off near Hotel Rio on the Río Cangrejal. The bus ride takes about 30 minutes. From the drop-off point, it's a short walk to the hotel. The bus fare is approximately 30 HNL (around $1.20 USD).
