Getting There

• Bus

  From the central bus terminal in La Ceiba, look for buses heading towards Yaruca or La Cangrejal. These buses typically leave every 30 minutes. Once on the bus, inform the driver that you are going to Las Cascadas Lodge. The ride should take around 30-45 minutes. You will want to get off at kilometer 6 on the road to Yaruca. Upon exiting the bus, walk towards the river until you see the signs for Las Cascadas Lodge, which should be easily visible.

• Taxi

  You can hail a taxi from anywhere in La Ceiba. Make sure to tell the driver that you want to go to Las Cascadas Lodge located at Cuenca del río Cangrejal, kilometer 6 on the road to Yaruca. The ride will take approximately 20-30 minutes, depending on traffic. It's advisable to negotiate the fare beforehand to avoid any confusion.

• Shared Shuttle

  Check with your hotel or local travel agencies in La Ceiba for shared shuttle services that may operate to Las Cascadas Lodge. • Walking from Local Stops

  If you are closer to the area of Cuenca del río Cangrejal, you can walk to Las Cascadas Lodge from local bus stops. Head towards the river on the main road, and keep walking until you reach kilometer 6. Look for the signs of Las Cascadas Lodge along the way. The distance may be about 1-2 kilometers, and while it’s walkable, ensure to stay hydrated and wear comfortable shoes.
