Muelle Turistico Reynaldo Canales: A Coastal Gem in La Ceiba

Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from central La Ceiba, head southeast on Avenida La Republica. Continue straight for approximately 5 kilometers until you see signs for Muelle Turistico Reynaldo Canales. There is a parking area available near the entrance, and parking is usually free.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Muelle Turistico Reynaldo Canales using public transportation, take a local bus from the La Ceiba central bus terminal heading toward the city center. Ask the driver to drop you off at Avenida La Republica. The journey takes about 15-20 minutes. Once you get off the bus, walk approximately 500 meters southeast along Avenida La Republica until you arrive at the muelle. Make sure to have small change ready for the bus fare, which is typically around 20 Lempiras.

• Walking

  If you are already within Pico Bonito National Park and wish to reach Muelle Turistico Reynaldo Canales on foot, the best route is to exit the park and head towards La Ceiba. It is approximately a 7-kilometer walk. Follow the road signs toward La Ceiba, and when you reach Avenida La Republica, turn left. Continue walking until you reach the muelle. This route can take around 1.5 to 2 hours, so wear comfortable shoes and bring water.
