From downtown Tegucigalpa, head to the main bus terminal, which is located at 'Terminal de Buses de Tegucigalpa' (near the Plaza del Soldado). Look for buses heading towards 'Los Planes' or 'La Tigra'. The bus fare is usually around 30-50 Lempiras. Buses run frequently, but it’s best to check the schedule in advance. Once you board, let the driver know you're going to Parque Nacional La Tigra.

After approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour on the bus, you will arrive at 'Los Planes'. Get off at the last stop, which will be near a small local market. From here, you can ask locals for directions to the entrance of Parque Nacional La Tigra. The entrance is about a 20-minute walk uphill from the market. Follow the main road, and look for signs pointing towards the national park.

If you're not comfortable walking, consider taking a taxi from 'Los Planes' to the entrance of Parque Nacional La Tigra. Taxis are usually available at the market area. Negotiate the fare, which should be around 100-150 Lempiras for the short trip to the park entrance.
