Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving from any location within Balaton Uplands National Park, head towards the main road (Route 71) that runs along the northern shore of Lake Balaton. Follow Route 71 southbound until you reach Zamárdi. Once in Zamárdi, keep an eye out for Siófoki u., where the park is located. The park's entrance is well-marked, and there is parking available on-site. Be prepared for a parking fee, which is typically around HUF 500-1000 (about €1.50-3) depending on the season.

• Public Transportation

  For those opting for public transportation, take a bus or a train to Siófok, which is the nearest major transport hub. From Siófok, you can catch a local bus that travels to Zamárdi. Buses typically run every 30-60 minutes, and the fare is around HUF 300-500 (approximately €0.90-1.50). Once you arrive in Zamárdi, walk towards Siófoki u. to reach the park. It's about a 10-minute walk from the bus stop to the park entrance.

• Bicycle

  If you're feeling adventurous and want to explore the scenic surroundings, consider cycling to Zamárdi. There are designated cycling paths throughout Balaton Uplands National Park. You can rent a bicycle in nearby towns like Siófok or Balatonfüred. Follow the lakeside cycle path south towards Zamárdi. The journey is approximately 10-15 kilometers, and the ride offers beautiful views of Lake Balaton.
