Train
To reach the Assumption Cathedral in Vác from Budapest, start by heading to the Nyugati Railway Station (Nyugati Pályaudvar). You can take the Metro Line 3 (Blue Line) to the 'Nyugati' station. Once at Nyugati, purchase a ticket to Vác at the ticket counter or vending machines. Board a train bound for Vác, which usually departs every 30 minutes. The journey takes about 30-40 minutes. When you arrive at Vác Station, exit the train and walk towards the exit. From the train station, turn right onto the main road (Kossuth Lajos utca). Follow this road straight until you reach Schuszter Konstantin tér. The Assumption Cathedral will be on your left at Schuszter Konstantin tér 11.
Bus
If you prefer to take a bus from Budapest to Vác, head to the Árpád híd bus station. You can use Metro Line 3 (Blue Line) to reach 'Árpád híd' station. At the bus terminal, look for buses heading to Vác (usually operated by Volánbusz). Purchase your ticket at the ticket office or from the bus driver. The bus ride will take around 45 minutes to 1 hour. Once you arrive in Vác, get off at the main bus station. From there, head left along the main road (Kossuth Lajos utca) towards Schuszter Konstantin tér. The Assumption Cathedral will be on your left at Schuszter Konstantin tér 11.
